안녕하세요 여러분 ! Is been a while after my last kdrama review , so here am i , in this brand new month with this brand new kdrama recommendation / review ! I'm pulling my hair struggling for this October kdrama list , there's tons of intrigue kdrama out in this October that had my attention , indeed is going to be a hectic kdrama month , so below will be the '' filtered '' list of mine , so far after some hair lost & '' observation '' ( * lol * ) , hopefully it'll helps !
By the way , review will split into two ( this is part 1 ) , let's get started !

1. Beauty inside 뷰티 인사이드
Review :
I haven't watch the movie version of this , doing so will be literally impossible for me especially this hectic pack month , so i can't really do a comparison ... yet ! Although there's some of negative comment from people who watch the movie version criticizing the '' quality '' of drama version , but to me from the perspective who haven't watch the movie , really do find this interesting so far !
Each episode do get better as it go , i really like the overall vibe of this drama tho , light weight , light humor , touching , making it entertaining & enjoyable at the same time ! Despite those '' classic kdrama cliche '' of chaebol with '' rare '' disease ( which is truly understandably since is a remake of previous movie ) , i do like the overall drama moving quite in pace & smooth story flows which i didn't find it boring me out so far !
Nevertheless , I love the cute friendship bond between Han Se Kye ( Seo Hyun Jin ) , the manager & her guy friend tho , perky & always supportive ! The way they're shoot Eun Ho ( Ahn Jae Hyeon ) scene '' dreamily '' using those MV / commercial alike camera angle & background music ( scene ) crack me out with pleasant ( * lol * ) .
The chemistry of each cast towards another is not joke , especially those lead ! Meanwhile , me weirdly urge to see more bromance between the director & secretary at the same time ( tell me i'm not alone ) ! Seo Do Jae ( Lee Min Ki ) and his robotic aesthetic & straight face joke really reminds me of his character in '' because is my first life '' ( * lol * ) , he with his reckless blunting words & those warm gesture after really makes you having internal conflict between hate or love him !
Presenting , Kingkang the scene stealer ! ( * awwh ~~~ so pretty !!! * )

Is a pack of romance , laughter , bromance ( * lol * ) , touch emotion ride , if you're a kdrama hardcore fans , you 'll be loving this as well ! Even if you're not romance genre person , this might be your exception , light weight , fast story pace & likable character , the story will definitely make it easily accepting & even binge watching it !

2 . The guest 손
Review :
Before that , i'm NEVER a fan of any '' spiritual '' horror genre drama / movie & i can't deny i watch it because of Kim Jae Wook at first ( even now , opps ~ * fan girl mode on * ) , but it seriously made me binge watching it after the 1 & 2 episode ! And yes ! this will scare the hell out of you ( * excuse my language * tell me i'm not alone )
I honestly thought '' save me '' will be the last drama that creep me out badly but this is just purely 10 times more upgraded version in term of horror ( like seriously ) , every single episode keep creating suspense , mysterious , breathtaking intense point that'll totally hook you up instantly ! Especially those mysterious & plot twist will simply blow your mind !
The story line , those special effect , sound effect etc definitely bring those horror to a higher level , overall '' chills down to your spine '' is practically sufficient description for this ! Even with horror taking over 98 % of the chart , still , appreciate how they overall tried balancing the horror part by adding the slight wicked character in !
Big praise on how brilliantly every single cast member portraying those character , especially those acted those possessed by spirit ... those goosebumps of yours will tell you how good are them while watching it ! Frankly , this is too good for any description !
ps . do NOT watch it with earphone or at NIGHT unless you want to challenge the healthiest of your heart , which i'm NOT RECOMMENDING you to do so & just don't forget to breath !
* Kim Jae Wook - you will understand why every site commend section flooded with people saying they're '' sinful '' / '' committed sin '' after seeing him in ... somehow ! ( * lol * ) & ready to be amaze once again by his brilliant acting skills !

Horror is your mainstream ? this is your call !
* ps . if you finished & passed the scary point of '' save me '' you're totally welcome for this , else it might be a challenging one unless you're a fans of horror ! However , still recommend you to try watching this ! ( sincerely by the coward plus anti horror genre person - me )
*** If you still can't bare to watch this but prompt to challenge yourself in this horror genre , here's a little good news for you ! There's also another ongoing horror genre kdrama named '' ghost detective '' ( which there's also review for it , below of this ) with slightly tamed down horror ! ***

Different of '' save me '' & '' the guest '' ?
'' Save me '' will be toward the cult as '' the guest '' will be spiritual possessed , demon , exorcist ! Other word , '' save me '' have those creep you out & scary point & as for '' the guest '' is a big load , counterattack in horror point !
3. Ghost detective 오늘의 탐정
Review :
( So how do i say ... ) One of the drama i actually skeptic & contemplating whether to add it on the list ! The drama start off really well , but not really at the middle development tho , it keep falling off the edges & back to interesting point ! Amazing plot but slow development & lack impact which sort of making it flat ...
Can't deny , i actually persist ( * lol * ) watching it because of Daniel Choi ( * cough cough * ) , however, it actually start to improve significantly after sometime ( * yessss * ) which totally prove it's worth all those waiting & persisting ( now we're talking ) ! The intense , suspense & plot twist played the crucial turning point in this , although it can spot after watching a while , those unexpected plot twist will be those absolute big one that will impress you with fully anticipation & jaw drop expression on !
At the meantime , watching it do make me wondering if the title should be named ‘’ the mystery girl on red dress ‘’ , ‘’ the mystery revenge of red dress ghost ‘’ or something similar , cause it do seem like they '' sort of '' loss the main focus that were suppose to be ... ‘’ ghost detective ‘’ & sadly right now the main seem to be the girl on red instead ( * hmmnnn ~ * ) !
There’s too much of unsolved mystery even it reach more than half of the drama , little afraid it might be a rush ending tho ( please don’t ) ! As for the character , prepare to be annoy by those stubbornness , obvious gesture telling everyone ( enemy ) there's '' thing '' beside , reckless of Yeol Wool , but those were small case compare to the girl on red ( Sun Woo Hye ) , she will seriously get on your nerve with her pure evil villainous !
But no worries , Daniel Choi ( Lee Da Il ) here to save the day ( * lol * ) , i love how he portray his character tho ( no i just love him overall , ever since the '' the jugglers '' * cough * ) , especially those eager killer gaze while he throw himself in to save someone ( damn~~~ * crazy scream * ) ! Despite there's tiny loophole & those other problem , personally think the story plot in quite intriguing & perhaps doubling up the speed of development will do !
Frankly speak , this might not be my top favorite but i do found it enjoyable & interesting , do think it deserve more attention & rate !

Is a mystery line drama , horror ? hmm ... yes ? probably more towards those that give you goosebumps type instead of those freak out type like what in '' the guest '' ! If you're a anti horror genre like me , this is not as scary as you think it might be , no worries ! However , you do need some '' patient '' for this drama due to the slower story development !
To be really frank , this really NOT that bad , if you dropped halfway or haven't watch them do give them a try ! Those romance , intense , thrill , suspense ... All i can say is , is NOT that the drama doesn't have what you want ( expect ) but just yet to come !
* Ps . the counterattack romance is one of the thing that you can be anticipating , might be slightly different for the other but certainly those that makes your heart flutter ! *

4 . Hide & seek 숨바꼭질
Review :
Here goes my another instant hooked drama , this is just amazing , despite some of those really '' striking '' loophole & '' over exaggerated scene '' that were totally inconceivable ( like real ) , however the overall flow & realistic of it still got me hooked ! Even thought the plot seem hit right toward cliche but strangely , watching it doesn't feel much of it , main reason probably will be those plot twist !
If you read some of my previous review , you'll know i'm plot twist enthusiast ( * lol * ) , and this drama is doing twist perfectly . I really have to say this , they really slot in those twist at prefect timing , creating those intense , suspense & mysterious that drive viewers in everytime !
I have to say the drama will play with your sympathies , emotion & your blood pressure ( like real , but since is melodrama so ... ) , especially the granny character tho ! Keep blaming everyone but herself , ruthless , verbal abusing & her blood relation thing etc , beware ! it will really makes you fully understand the word '' furious '' !
Meanwhile , there's this '' radio meditation thing '' that will chill you out ( i wonder why were those part my favorite * lol * ) . Not to mention , Lee Yu Ri ( chae rin ) never fail to give me goosebumps & her strong chemistry with Song Chang Eui ( Eun hyuk ) ( * applause * ) , i just love seeing both of their deep passion relationship together ever since the very first episode ! ( even how '' wrong '' their relationship is , in the middle i still can't help myself to wish for more of them , i know that's so wrong but ... * please don't yell at me * )
Conclusion , this will be a emotion roller coaster ride drama , in other word you 'll be loving & hating it at the same time !
Ps . do try listening to their ost too there really good ~~~
personally recommending '' you are '' by Klang ! ( loving it so much )

* if your expecting lovey dovey cliche romance , you might be heading the wrong way ! Instead , it will be twist & turn type of romance , meanwhile on the other side it will be , revengeful , heirs , truth , cunning suspend battlefield ! If '' revenge '' is not your thing , this might be a skip for you but still recommend you to give it a try ! ^ . ^
Ps . lovey dovey romance can be spot from another ongoing drama , '' devilish joy ( charm ) '' ! ( personally drop it halfway is NOT that's not good but just little too excessively cheesy & '' classic '' cliche FOR ME * don't hate me * )

Is this horror genre drama ?
No ! at all ! drama poster might seem to be but no is NOT a horror genre drama ! Is a melodrama !
Why did Chae Rin choose to go back to her grandmother & makepacific ( company ) , when she had the chance to run away ?
She do have quite some chance to run way & probably setting up her own company but she ( Chae Rin ) yearn for family warmness & love especially from her mother !
Reason of Moon Jae Sang wanting Chae Rin back ?
Love ? i doubt that ( after some episode i have to add this * at first * ) ! Most probably envious & furious about how his own father fully relying & trusting Eun Hyuk instead of himself ! How is it related to Chae Rin ?
Eun Hyuk , who's passionately in love with Chae Rin ... if Jae Sang had a chance of revenge of breaking Eun Hyuk down by snatching something he cherish the most , what will it be ? However , there’s obvious part which Jae Sang were actually moved by Chae Rin & her sincere word about himself ! As for now , probably vise versa – love after revenge !
5 . Player 플레이어
Review :
Hmmnn ... how do i say ... but this really remind me of '' mad dog '' & little of '' switch : change the world '' tho , both really share quite similar '' point '' , hacker , con artist , person with good driving skills , revenge , justice etc , even the similar amount of team member ! A former detective ( mad dog ) a prosecutor ( player ) , computer genius ( mad dog ) hacker ( player ) , smart swindler (mad dog ) smart swindler ( player ) , former gymnast with good driving skill ( mad dag ) skill driver ( player ) etc .
Despite those similar '' point '' , so far it didn't really let me down , even it do remind me of '' mad dog '' sometimes , however , those intense action scene & Ha Ri ( Song Seung Heon ) swindler swag slays , which stop me from '' reminding '' ( lol * fan girl mode on * ) .
Indeed those intense action scene were my favorite part , at the same time , those '' shaky camera effect '' is also one of the infuriating part ( * urghhh * like why ?!!!! please just stop shaking !!! )
Nevertheless , i like how they slot in those wittiness of each character especially the hacker ( even though i still found myself getting annoyed by his '' loudness '' sometimes * lol * ) which balanced the weighty & make it much entertaining !
Overall , fast pace , mysterious & is a so far so good , but personally do hope there's no romance for this tho ... somehow ... let's keep it as crime & action genre for now ! But still , so far i have to say personally still favoring '' mad dog '' ( * don't hate me * ) !
just in case if you haven't found you're reason to watch , here you go ... the reason ( * evil smirk * ) !

If you enjoy '' mad dog '' , '' switch : change the world '' & maybe '' lawless lawyer " this is your call then & prepare to be feed by those satisfactory of justice ! As for anyone who dislike justice , crime , revenge you might have to skip this !
